Subjective interpretations of a constantly changing and ultimately nonexistent reality

Hallstatt has been called Europe's most beautiful village, and it's not so strange. The view over the small Austrian mountain village, with its majestic mountains and its church in neo-Gothic style, is like taken from a fairy tale. Until the 19th century, it could only be reached by boat or on foot, but nowadays it is only a matter of getting in the car - it takes about an hour from Salzburg. The village itself is home to only about a thousand inhabitants, but every year it is visited by over a million tourists. In the nearby lake Hallstätter See you can take a boat trip or swim in crystal clear water, and here is also the world's oldest salt mine.
