Where the Road Ends
The Lofoten headlands' outermost settlement is called Å. The road leads here but no further. In Å you can dream about old times. You will find a dried cod museum, the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum, a cod liver oil factory, a blacksmith and even an operational stone oven bakery build in 1844 where they serve coffee and you can buy steaming hot, fresh bread and cinnamon bun pastries.
